Learn more about Hazel, founder of The Yoga Tree ♥

Hazel, founder of The Yoga Tree; is a mum, a wife, a yoga instructor, a health and wellbeing enthusiast. She started her yoga journey around 24 years ago taking her first yoga class and was immediately hooked. But being a teenager there was far too many distractions so she delved in and out of the yoga for many years! Her Dad claims she started yoga when she was 4 when he would talk her through shavasana(deep relaxation) to get her to sleep! She returned to yoga 20 years ago, more dedicated, always knowing that to become a teacher was something she aspired to. Hazel’s mum was her great inspiration while growing up, being a Reiki Master, Refloxologist, Yoga practitioner and healthy food pioneer, it was in Hazel’s blood! But when Hazel’s mum tragically passed away 15 years ago, she didn’t want to waste any more time and started her yoga teacher training.
Becoming a new mum herself she understood first hand the benefits of Prenatal Yoga for mum & baby through pregnancy, labour and afterwards. She trained as a Prenatal teacher in London with Uma Dinsmore Tuli in 2012. Adamant that she wanted Tadhg her son to grow up with yoga and also to create a support network for her prenatal students after they have had their babies, she returned to London in 2013 to train as a Mother & Baby and Toddler & Preschool Yoga teacher.
Hazel loves to bring creativity into her classes and draws from all the different styles she has trained in and from her own yoga and life journey. Hazel has been very fortune to have trained with amazing international teachers such as Uma Dinsmore Tuli, Shiva Rea, Matthew Sweeney, Carol Murphy, Safdie Nardini, Lalit Kumar and many more. She is currently training in Prana Flow with Shiva Rea in Santorini and will be returning to this summer to continue her training. Hazel is also currently training in Yoga Shred/HIT and has recently completed her training in Face Yoga.
Hazel is a regular guest on RTE’s TV Today Show spreading her love of Yoga with the nation.
