I often hear from new students one of the reasons they have started yoga is help them have better sleep. Everyone at some stage in their lives has problems sleeping. Whether it is falling asleep or staying asleep. So at my Yoga Retreat in Ballynatray back in April we made our guests a sleep tonic before bed!!
Besides it being very yummy and full of lots of healthy ingredients it contains an Ayurvedic powder called Ashwagandha which in Ayurveda is classified as rasayana – a rejuvenator, used to restore health and wellbeing and promote longevity. Ayurvedic medicine have used this powder for centuries to alleviate stress, anxiety and fatigue and to aid restful sleep.
