The Venue: Located in the heart of Ireland, Castle Durrow is regarded as one of Ireland’s hidden gems.
Built in 1716, this magnificent 300 year old mansion, located on the banks of River Erkina, has been fully restored to its former glory. All of the rooms have been elegantly and individually designed by Shelly and Peter Stokes with family heirlooms and antiques dotted around the building. The original cantileverd grand staircase is located in the west wing of the mansion a magnificent stained glass window, probably to celebrate a marriage circa 1860 is lighting the main staircase. The design was inspired by one of William Shakespeare’s best known sonnets, ‘the seven ages of man’.Centered in the lower quarter are the initialsWF and AM(William Flower and Augusta Marton). The Flower family motto is inscribed, Mens Conscia recti -‘ A mind aware of its own right’.
Castle Durrow is exclusively ours for the weekend!! Join us to relax, to unwind and to be treated like a lord or a lady for the duration of your stay.
Rooms are beautifully and individually decorated in an elegant style, reflecting the old world charm of Lord Ashbrook’s ancestral home. All rooms are en-suite.

Testimonials from past retreats:
“A must have for the mind and the body in this fast world. Great yoga, delicious food, single
accommodation was great for me, just space to be. I felt nurtured and enveloped in beautiful
energy. Thanks to Hazel and her team for giving so much, to make it so special. With
gratitude.”

“I attended Hazels yoga retreat this year. It was one of the most relaxing and recharging
weekends I had in 2016. On arrival from the welcome treat in your room to the grounds
leading up to the yoga hall sprinkled in tealights, I immediately knew this would be a special
weekend. I actually thought I'd be hungry so brought a bag of snacks with me but i was 100%
mistaken. All I did was eat delicious food, nap and do lots of wonderful yoga.Besides being a
wonderful yoga teacher Hazels love and attention to detail makes her retreat a wonderful
place to be. I cant wait for the next one!”

“I am really looking forward to the retreat at the end of January. If it is anything like last
year's it will be such a treat! It was such an escape from every day life. From the minute I
arrived on the Friday to the minute I left on the Sunday eve everything was heavenly. The
smoothies, the mock cocktails the meals. They were exceptional. It was five star treatment.
The yoga sessions were so great. I loved being shut away from reality and being able to make
the most of the weekend.
It really is a fantastic treat to be able to experience it again this coming January in a new
luxurious venue. Well done again on a fantastic job you made of it last year. I know the next
one will be just as good if not better. “
