Longer Exhalation = Calmness

Make your exhalation longer than your inhalation at times throughout your day.  Take moments during your day, either with eyes open or closed and count the length of your inhalation.  Then as you exhale try to make it longer than your inhale.

It has been proven by slowing down your exhale we activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our rest and renew mode helping you us to feel calmer and more grounded.

By slowing down our exhalation we stop the stress loop of the sympathetic nervous system aka the fight or flight mode; helping us to heal, feel more nourished, calmer, more grounded and ready to take on the day. ♥
