Learn more about Hazel, founder of The Yoga Tree ♥

Hazel Buckley is the founder of The Yoga Tree and a highly experienced yoga and wellbeing educator with over 15 years of teaching experience, supporting thousands of students through in-person classes, high-end retreats, corporate wellbeing programmes, studio teaching, and her online app and digital community. She also holds a degree in Computer Science, which complements her work in developing digital wellbeing platforms and app-based wellness solutions alongside her yoga and meditation teaching.
Hazel completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2010 with Green Lotus Yoga under Carol Murphy, and has since developed an extensive and continually evolving training portfolio across yoga, breathwork, meditation, and somatic wellbeing practices.

Alongside her teaching and training, Hazel has built The Yoga Tree into a multi-dimensional wellness business founded in 2012. What began as in-person classes has evolved into a premium wellness ecosystem spanning high-end events and retreats, known for their immersive, curated experiences.
In 2020, Hazel launched The Yoga Tree app (B2C version), expanding her teaching into a global digital community and enabling accessible, on-demand wellbeing practices.
In 2025, she expanded into physical product development with the launch of luxury, artist-designed yoga mats, combining functional performance with elevated design and brand storytelling.
In 2026, Hazel is currently leading a pilot corporate wellbeing programme, featuring a gamified version of The Yoga Tree app, designed to increase engagement, participation, and measurable wellbeing outcomes across workplace teams.
Hazel has also been widely featured in Irish media, including appearances on RTÉ’s Today Show, Ireland AM, and regular contributions to radio and podcasts discussing yoga, wellbeing, and women’s health. Her work is recognised for making yoga accessible, practical, and relevant to modern life while maintaining depth and integrity in practice.
