A new year is a wonderful time, it gives us the opportunity to start fresh, to let go of the past and look to the future.
In this flow we are letting go of the last year, letting go of anything that no longer serves you, any past hurt, negative emotions, anything that is holding you back. Once we have let go of the past we can open our heart to the future and the year ahead of us.
The first part of this practice we are generating warmth and fire in our bellies to let go of the past by moving through twists and core strengthening poses. The second half we open through back bends to open our heart!!
So lets take the opportunity to welcome in the new year with warmth and an open heart. As my Dad used to always say ‘Onwards and Upwards’!!
