Welcome [wpc_client_contact_name /] to The Yoga Tree Community!!

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!! You are so very welcome to our Online Community.

Although we can’t be together right now in person this online platform allows us to connect virtually. It allows me the opportunity to share some extra resources with you such as a new weekly meditation, a weekly smoothie( to motivate us to get our juicer/blenders out), a self care tip and lots more!!

Some tips for our Online Community:

  1. At the start of the week set your target decide which classes you will attend.
  2. Try to tune in to the live class if you can so that we are practicing together as a community.  But please don’t worry if you can’t make a class they will all be recorded and up on the ‘Class Library’ section
  3.  Each week a new meditation will be posted on this platform, see if you can practice this at least once in the week, the more you practice the more you will benefit.
  4.  I will also post up a new Smoothie Recipe each week, I am a big fan of healthy smoothies.  It is an easy way to get a good dose of vitamins and nutrients into your body.  I would suggest you make this during the week as many times as you like
  5. Check out our weekly self care tip
  6. Create a nice Yoga space where there are no distraction.  Make your Yoga space special for you such as lighting a candle or having some nice flowers. Prepare your family or room mates that you wish not to be disturbed and turn off your phone

You will need a Yoga mat, a blanket, Vinyasa/Hatha students you will need a belt(anytype of belt will do).  Prenatal and Mummy & Baby students you will need some extra support such as pillows/cushions.

Through our practice of Yoga, Meditation, healthy eating and self care we are empowered to feel stronger, healthier and happier.

Please find a video below to show you how to use the platform.

I am here to help so please message me along the way if you have any questions 🙂

Happy Yoging

Namaste

Weekly Smoothie

Each week I post up a new Smoothie Recipe, it will only stay on the platform for the week.. so go on get out your juicer/blender out before the end of the week 🙂 as once the recipe is gone its gone… LOL!!!

Anyone that know me knows I love my Green Smoothies!!!  I feel even if I have been a little naughty and haven’t eaten as healthy as I would have liked, once I get a Green Smoothie into me and the kids, the health balance is back again!!! Its a ‘fast food’ bursting with nutrients… This week’s recipe is:

I Love my Body Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • handful of Spinach
  • handful of Kale
  • 5 frozen strawberries (love that they are frozen as it makes the smoothie nice and chilled, fresh is great too but you may like to add a couple of ice cubes)
  • 1/2 lemon (peel the lemon if organic and unwaxed you can pop it in as it is)
  • 1/4 cucumber
  • 2 teaspoon of hemp seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk

Method:

Pop all ingredients into your blender and enjoy 🙂

Why is it good for me?

Kale & Spinach are bursting with Vit C, A & K  folate (B9) and are both linked to improving heart health, increased weight loss, and protection against disease.  Strawberries besides being super yummy are rich in antioxidants and plant compounds, which benefits for heart health and blood sugar control. Lemon is also a good source of Vit C, supports weight loss, improves your skin quality and aids digestion.  Cucumber is bursting with Vit K, along with Vit B ad C along with minerals like copper, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium.  Hemp a super food rich in healthy fats and essential fatty acids, a great protein source and contains high amounts of Vit E, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfar, calcium, iron and zinc. Almond milk low in calories & sugar, good source of calcium and high in Vit E.   In summary your body will love you for it 🙂

Enjoy xx

Your Weekly Meditation

Each week I post up a New Meditation… you have one week to listen to the Meditation as many times as you like.  It will be taken down on Sunday and replaced with a new Mediation 🙂  So again this is to motivate us to practice the meditation during the week as many times as we like.  This will only be available for this week… as once its gone its gone 🙂

This week’s meditation is a short simple Breathing Meditation to get us started.  It just takes 5 minutes and if you have time it is worth including it in your day each day this week.  I feel at times that I am very busy or maybe stressful situations if I take just 5 minutes out to consciously breath I feel so much better.

[su_tab title=”Self Care Tip of the Week” disabled=”no” anchor=”” url=”” target=”self” class=””]

Your Self Care Tip of the Week

What is self care you may ask and why is it so important…. Self care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health.  Although its a simple concept in theory its often ourselves we think of last putting others before our own needs.  Good selfcare is key to improved mood and reduced anxiety.  As a Yogi you are already experiencing self-care.  But you can never give yourself enough care and love so each week I will be suggesting a new self care tip.  Schedule your self-care time, and guard that time with everything you have 🙂 xxx

Tip of the Week:  Do one new nice thing for yourself this week!!!

Just one new nice thing.. easy!!!  Whatever makes you feel good: be it going for a walk with a friend, taking a nice long bath or give yourself time this week to read your book, whatever you like… you deserve it!!!
